The Camera made by Hunters for Hunters
How does it work?
The Carnivore Cam utilizes the latest computer camera technology, delivering 300 lines of resolution, yet still
being small and lightweight enough to wear on a cap.
Can I use it?
Yes! Use your existing camcorder. Just make sure it has audio/video inputs and a record or VCR/VTR mode. Simple
installation allows you to virtually "Plug and Play."
What do I use if for?
The Carnivore Cam gives you the ability to record your outdoor activities alone. Use it for big game hunting, upland
game, and waterfowl. Use it with all manner of weapons, including rifle, shotgun, muzzle loader, handguns, crossbows,
and bows.
Will the Carnivore Cam work with my camcorder?
The Carnivore cam should work with any camcorder with A/V inputs and a record or VCR mode. While we have tested
different brands and models of camcorders, it is impossible to test them all. Please check with the owners manual
or manufacturer of your camcorder before ordering.
Can you tell me more about the different lenses you have
available? Which one should I use?
We recommend using the lowest power lens possible. Remember as you increase the magnification, you decrease the
field of view. The greater the magnification the easier it is to be off target while trying to film. The standard
lens will accomodate most hunters working well from 1-50 yards. The 12mm gives longer range for 50-100 yards. The
24mm will work at 100 yards plus. We don't recommend the 24mm very often as the field of view is so narrow and
the extreme magnification can cause some color distortion or fading. |
